Ten days, new ladies, no discussions

So since I gave up in uploading pics on TN we had several new ladies who posted theirs but basically no new topics and no discussions. I wonder whether there is any meaning in launching new topics and what could still attract some interest. A moral dilemma? A sexy story? A sexy moral dilemma?9

Moral dilemma, pic posting rapid in TS ENL due to new active members, daily posts but sadly the TS members are mostly asleep or just not interested

I post the odd topic on the TS group, but given few even look at photos, reading and engaging in topic discussion would be a stretch

The real topics with interesting ideas still attract responses but, sadly, not as many as in the past. I have enjoyed the many varied stories through the years and increased my knowledge of the folks across the pond because of it. Please feel free to post informative topics / stories / tall tales about the nudist scene in Europe. Possibly how the FKK mindset affects the operation of public beaches? I dont know enough about the conversations of the day on the continent to speak intelligently, but do enjoy reading & commenting on them. Anyone else have a suggestion? Inquiring minds want to know.

Well, when our prolific posting powerhouse takes a Sabbatical, things do tend to quieten down as the rest of us lack the inclination or the initiative to step into the breach. I, for one, see the group as being one primarily of female inspiration accompanied by male (and female) appreciation, so I'm reluctant to introduce a topic, even if I come up with one.

I would love for the multitude of other elegant ladies to dive in with thoughts and experiences for us to reflect on and enjoy, but there seems to be a reluctance on their part. If they tried, I'm sure they'd only receive appreciation for their efforts.

As for topics from you, dear Flora, anything is welcome, including experiences, as most of my favourite reads from you over the years include those moments that you relate to us, whether if themselves or as a springboard to further thoughts.

Getting groups to have any sort of energy is really difficult. I've started a group called Berlin Weekenders as I have a return visit scheduled for 4th July and I thought it might be a good way to get locals involved - maybe have a meet-up at Vabali Spa or the Kristalltherme in Ludwigsfelde. I thought the more advenurous might even join me at the Kit Kat Club all night.

You try to set out a number of things for discussion/suggestion but it really is like shouting into the void - and starts to appear like a vanity project that only you care about.

This group has been so much more than that at times, often driven by Flora - I appreciate that, and I certainly appreciate the effort it must have taken - but it still can be a vibrant community. I completely concur that I feel very much a guest here, and wouldn't feel comfortable starting a thread.

As for ideas - I used to love the photo competitions, and the time we were allowed to post our own photos here - wonderful. Soem sort of photo challenge might be fun - with all allowed to enter.

As for content from Flora - I'd love to hear what you'd still like to do, what haven't you done either through fear or lack of opportunity - what is your dream?

I don't feel much of a mod here, I am no longer very present, I am no longer posting pics (although I do post pics on TS where I actually don't even have an account so I can't post any blurb, hence it's text here, pics there...). In any case, I let the mods do what they want with this group. An occasional posting of guys is fine by me, but it should be limited in time otherwise once the guys start uploading pics there will be, like in most other group, only guys in the album.

As for dreams, I don't really have many. I suspect you don't mean career or family wise but you rather refer to nudity/exhibitionism/sexuality or something similar. I did my fair share of dares but I can't say that I had dreamt about them, they just happened because of context, friends, hubby... Sometimes a bit of alcohol-induced euphoria... I wrote about some of them here.

Nudity to me is 0% ideology (I don't believe that nudists are better people or it is healthier to be nude or something), 80% comfort (it's so much better to expose your whole body to the sun and sea, and not have to deal with wet swimsuit etc.), 9% elegance (I have a good body which attracts and I care about my appearance even in the nude, I will wear nice hats, shades and slippers and will not slouch or do inelegant moves, just like I act when dressed) and 1% teasing/exhibitionism (this happens rarely although I may write more about this than about the other parts). It could actually be a good topic for discussion but I doubt that people would be very frank about it.

On Sunday we were in Vierordtbad, not the fanciest spa ever, but it's close and we wanted to soak up some sun. It was not very busy, most people must have been by the various lakes around as it was very hot, so we could grab a couple of sun chairs by the three pools. It was after maybe 20 mins that I opened my eyes to look around and realised that, number one, most guys in the pools were looking in my general direction; number two, I was quite open legged, only a couple of meters away from them; number three, there had been exactly 0% of provocatibe intention in my position, it was just the most comfortable position I would naturally be when laying on my back - plus, by not being with your knees together you avoid getting white patches on your inner thighs; number four, five years ago I would have never been been like this, exposed and open legged, too self conscious and afraid of being too provocative. What did I do about it? Nothing, they can look if they so wish, it's nothing special I have sown there, half of the world population has it. And then I realised that number five, had I been in a truly unflattering position, say slouching, I would have immediately changed. Which is bizarre and could be another interesting topic. I chose comfort over exhibition but I would choose elegance over comfort. I guess it's a feminine thing, why else do I almost wear heels and makeup. But then, it's also a feminine thing to keep our knees glued together in front of a male audience..,

Perhaps to word to consider is "decorum". By necessity naturist/nudist decorum is different in comparison to the textile world, even if the finer points of it's definition are under dispute across locations and demographics.

Perhaps even across sexes. Your many topics on these pages have helped me form the opinion (previously articulated, I think) of how the differing behaviours between males and females in a nude environment is perhaps not just a product of the mind but also of the unavoidable physical differences where the genitals are on prominent display more-or-less by default or somewhat concealed by default. Us gentlemen have to come to terms with our prominence the moment we strip down (and I still recall my first occasion, along with other occasions in the context of undressing under the gaze of others), whereas our elegant ladies certainly can control just how much is revealed in most situations.

Does this occasion simply demonstrate you've reached a point where your ambivalence to being seen is comparable to many men? Maybe in the right context, perhaps, if you feel your decorum is okay, even if you feel the need to prevent your elegance slipping.

As a side note, I never expect to be classed as elegant, but do try to maintain decorum to what I see as a suitable standard. Avoid staring inappropriately, don't touch myself inappropriately, maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor. That sort of thing.

Steve, I agree of course about decorum, a very contextual concept. Just like, to the difference of most here, I don't agree with some objective "right" to flaunt an erection on each and every nudist beach. Of course erections are natural and of course an erect penis is nicer to look at than a flaccid one, but we are social animals who need to observe a modicum of societal decorum.

I did naughty things in Cap d'Agde but when naked on most beaches I am a bit self-conscious and bring my legs closer together than strictly comfortable when guys look too intensely, pass repeatedly or put their towels too close to my legs. In fact, if comfort alone was the criterion I'd be spread eagle on every beach because this is how I sleep on my back or relax on my bed.

In the case of Vierordtbad, the atmosphere was very non sexual (at least this is how I felt it) and I was melting under the scorching sun so I couldn't be bothered to bring my knees together when I saw guys' interest. I have a good body, I am used to attract attention and letting them see that part of my anatomy didn't feel out of context. I am also a Barbie down there and my legs were not spread wide enough to be truly open. And honestly I think I am far sexier and more provocative when dressed in a sexy evening or club dress than when spread eagle on a sun chair.

I told the story of visiting Sinsheim with V, who converted from being very shy to being a real exhibitionist as soon as I made her drop her kit and made me, together with her, use the infrared bulbs with open legs (wider than strictly necessary) by the main passage corridor. Now that was out of context and provocative, it was a dare, not provocative enough to get a word from the security guys, but enough to feel red in the face and pretend not to see that guys were passing by multiple times to admire the scenery.

As for the visible-hidden treasures of guys and girls, sure this matters, we can still hide a bit of something. That being said, we are also the sexy ones, the sex gatekeepers, the ones who attract the eyes, and this is not just cultural or a question of numbers but also, as I said multiple times, an evolutionist result. So even when we drop all cover we still have the natural tendency to hide that little object of desire.

But the real surprise was my realisation that I wasn't bothered much by the intense looks at my female bits and didn't change position but I would have definitely done so if I had realised that my position makes some unsightly fold of my skin, my back slouch or my breasts sag. And from here the double question: do I become a true nudist who doesn't mind exposing everything and will I keep my legs apart on each and every beach, regardless of how intensely guys look? Or on the contrary, is my attraction for elegance and desire to look good making me a bad nudist?

I'm now wondering how I'd react in your presence, were I to be there at the time. My decorum standards would likely have prevented me from lingering in that spot that provided the 'optimum' view, but that display of decorum would be likely fighting with my interest in taking in the details just a little more, Decorum would likely win out, not least because I'd likely have left my eyeglasses behind while visiting the area, making detailed examination most undecorumous!

Having said that, I'm sure your elegance would shine through, providing and additional (and legitimate?) reason for my eyes to linger longer.

The other thought I have is the sophistication in playing with and possibly exceeding the threshold of decorum in various locations. Can be fun with the right circumstances and mood, as you have frequently demonstrated by your accounts.

Oh, you remind me that I really must visit Vierordtbad next time I am in Baden Baden. The Caracalla lacks pools where you can be naked and the Friedrichsbad lacks the outdoors. But also it has made me remember how much I like the beds under the infra red bulbs at the Caracalla - there are one or two where you can be seen by passers-by and the intensity of the heat is such that blood flow naturally increases - not so much to get an erection, but certainly halfway there. The only probelm is that it can escalate quickly and inappropriately if you notice the right person looking. One must, as Steve says, maintain decorum...

It looks like it'll be mid 20s for my visit to Berlin next weekend and will be very pleasant around the gardens of Vabali and the Kristalltherme, a fine time for an exhibitionist like me. I just need to leave the clubs early enough to enjoy the day time too, but I do have a tendency to arrive back at breakfast time.

I think Flora that I was thinking not so much of dreams as such - more, is there anywhere you'd still like to go - anything, not necessarily exhibitionist related but certainly related to the subject matter of this site, that you would still like to do?

I've swum naked in the fountains of Trafalgar Square - not for a dare, but because it was a warm and busy Summers night and I thought no one would mind. And they didn't - lots of tourists asked to pose for pictures with me. But this sort of thing is opportunistic rather than able to be planned. One day I hope something similar may happen somewhere - Germany or Austria or Croatia feel like they'd be more likely locations than say, Italy, or Switzerland.

I've been to Ile du Levant but I've never been to a place like Euronat or Vera Playa. I'd like to visit Formentera - places where it is ok to just be naked.

I like the idea of being in a situation where nudity is like a virus. Of sitting in the sun in a city park or on a riverbank where people are and one person strips down, and others just think 'fuck it' and join in, and before you know it the nudies are the majority.

But failing that - I always enjoyed your sexy moral dilemmas. Ther's always room for more of those.
