I've also had a lot of friend requests lately. I will usually accept them if we have chatted and I don't find you creepy (there have been a few) but most have been from females (probably fake) with a private profile and probably not a female.
I've been deleting a lot of requests for:
No images or profile information
Obvious AI-generated images
Stolen images
Requests that want you to go right to another platform
I'd imagine there is a fair amount of catfishing going on here; there's certainly a lot of crypto pushers and scammers. If you miss those things, you'll usually get an idea after a message or two.
