Smithsonian Butte, Utah (Near Zion)

I spent a couple days recently near Zion National Park, and found the Scenic Byway for Smithsonian Butte nearby. I went hiking there a couple mornings -- there's lots of side roads and washes where there's absolutely nobody, just me, and a hat and a lot of sunscreen and water. I did see a couple cars off the road -- not quite the 1/2 mile from the main road required for camping -- but for the most part, it's pretty empty, most of the side roads and trails are pretty level (if not driveable without a serious 4x4).
