Sauna Bonding

Do any of you guys get to hang out with any buds in a sauna. I have a couple buddies that I swim with that like to hit the sauna after laps. One likes to sit on a towel, like I do, and the other keeps his swim suit on. We have some really good conversations (some serious, some fun) while we're hanging out. The only-men environment is key to that. Does anyone else have similar experiences?

Hi! I often hang with other guys in a sauna. A perfect place to be with buddies, where you can be naked, without going to a special designated nudist area. But here in Germany, swimsuits are not allowed in Sauna.. so everyone is naked, which I think makes it even more relaxed and nicer. The very shy wrap their towel around, but as nearly all sit or lie openly naked on their towels, they soon adjust. Always a nice bonding experience to have that naked time together.

I have a sauna in my home . Have a buddy that comes over to use it . We just get nude sit in there , talk & detox . Then hanging out after to cool off . Nudity not a issue

I'm curious about this - why is the men only environment key?

Can really relate. I always found dry heat sauna too hot, but loved steam room. I would apply oil so that I would not get water logged. Then just lay flat with a wet towel wrapped around my head. Helps my back with the direct contact with the hot bench. And the towel keeps me from getting over heated. Always brought in water so I could stay in there longer. Never wore a suit or underwear. The sweat and the contact with the elastic would just make me itch.

True about great conversations. Some guys I never saw. They would talk to me while I was laying in my back. When I would sit up and drink water, I would sometimes have the room to myself and other times there were people standing around needing bench space. Mostly nude, though a few with towels around the waist. So one wore shorts or suits though.

I don't want to make too much of it, but the conversations are far less filtered than if there were women around for the conversation. There's nothing sexual discussed, it seems more blunt, often funny, and pretty honest. There are a wide range of topics and the women in our lives come up regularly. Sometimes you get some good advice, sometimes your feelings about a situation are validated, and sometimes you get get a laugh out of another guy trying to set you straight.

All of MY experience with this depends on the character of the guys I'm talking to. I feel fortunate to be around guys with good heads on their shoulders and genuine interest in helping other men be better people.
