Bizarrely after my last post on this thread I submitted my certification images for the third time (same images again) and it worked! Not sure what's going on behind the scenes but I didn't even re-upload the images, just submitted the ones they already had from the previous time. Who knows?

mine was rejected because it was backward (a mirror selfie, of course)! I flipped it and boom. Certified.
