More Playalinda closures coming up
Just thought I'd remind everyone, the Feds are currently in the planning stage of closing Playalinda for 60 days or more per year for future rocket launches and/or landings. However. there are organized push back campaigns that an individual can join. For example, the home page of the AANR.com website has a "There's Still Time T Help!" article that you can click on for information including a sample email to use as a guide.
Personally, I'm all in favor of rocket launches and landings. But closing Playalinda just for that reason seems a bit ridiculous to me. Especially that often.
I have been at Playalinda when there was a rocket launch, it was pretty cool to watch. So correct me if I am wrong but I think the closures may be only for the Falcon Heavy launches. It will still suck since often times the launch is scrubbed and then they close the beach for a few more days until they launch it, usually with little warning. Most of the time that is for bad weather.
Not wanting to be a Debbie Downer but this what we are up against

Hopefully there can be some sort of a compromise. Playalinda is a great place to view a rocket launch, but the way these early Falcon heavy rockets have been blowing uo, I realize the safety aspect of it.
