Travelites' Toga (optional) Party report & upcoming

Members from around the Midlands and over the border in GA gathered on a relaxing Saturday afternoon for the Toga (optional) party. We all opted for the optional and remained unencumbered for the event. There was the garlic/spinach dip with a variety of crackers and some rosemary-steamed shrimp to snack on. The ethnic potluck supper included bratwurst, sauerkraut, tossed salad with a variety of dressing, Hungarian pot roast and noodles as well as brownies, apple pie and Tiramisu ice cream and French vanilla coffee to top off the feast.
There were some changes in the auction (please see below).
Travelites next event is on August 27th in Camden; our annual Good-bye to Summer gathering. As times and food suggestions come in from our hosts, I will pass that on. They do have a pool and hot tub and a lovely home.
Labor Day weekend will find more than a dozen Travelites and friends gathering at Serendipity, just 3-1/2 hours from Columbia. We should arrive there mid-day on Saturday and leave after lunch on Monday.
