Open Fencing
I am so excited! Finally got my side fencing fixed. A storm messed it up and me and the neighbor have been holding off on getting it fixed.
It was older wooden fencing and needed to be fixed but we were waiting. Well some of the boards broke on a section creating an opening that allowed the neighbors kid and my kids to move more freely in between yards. It was fun for awhile but the kid started just popping in whenever he felt like. So I had to stop going out back naked. Its been a rough few weeks not gonna lie. But its back up and Im ready to catch some last few days of decent weather and get some sun!
How do you folks with open fences and not more privacy fences do it ? lol

Before got my privacy fence, I limited my back yard nudity to after dark
When an new neighbor moved in next door, he mentioned that he liked to keep his back lights on at night and hoped it wouldn't bother me.
I replied "I like to keep my swimsuit off at night so I won't complain if you don't,"
He kept his lights on, I left my clothes off and no one complained.
He lived alone, so there were rarely women or children there.
When I got the privacy fence, I noticed that if he stood on his deck, he could probably see over the fence. I swam, relaxed and worked around the pool anyway, figuring it wouldn't bother him.
When the house was sold (to another single male), I put a wind screen on the top of the fence to block the view, At the end of the summer, it was in bad shape so I took it down.
My neighbor saw me and asked why I had it.
I told him that I was often nude in my back yard and I knew that he could see over the fence.
He said it wouldn't bother him if he saw me nude. I haven't put up another wind screen since.

I have a privacy fence between me and my next door neighbor because of his huge dogs that were literally jumping the 3.5 ft chain link fence that used to exist. My back fence and other side fence remain the chain link fence with a wooded lot behind me and an empty lot on the other side fence. My back side neighbors house is elevated so she can see over the 8ft privacy fence and when shes out in her side yard, she can see past the chain link fence. Shes seen me many times and hasnt said or done anything towards wanting me to stop.
The other side lot has two houses past it that have clear views in and still no one has said anything. The chain link side extends out past the side of the house and when I am walking the yard, picking up after 3 dogs or watering plants, I can be seen from the street out front if anyone really looked. So far, Ive been ok and I try not to be seen but there have been a few stray passerbys.
I did have a guy in the neighborhood walk by one morning as I was standing with the view from the street. I just waved and he waved but stared as he kept walking. Now I catch him randomly at different viewing spots between houses, walking and looking. lol. Hes quite curious I guess?
Ive done this since 2019 so by now, I am not real worried about it. I do my thing in the mornings and afternoons. I also lay in the sun during peak sunshine. I appreciate all of my neighbors.
Congrats about the fence! I may need to work on mine. I live in an old city neighborhood with a 2-story apartment building next door. Along the 6-foot-high board fence that runs the full length of the property, the former owners planted a dense, tall bamboo hedge that almost completely blocks the view. Still, there's a 1/4-inch space between the boards and you can tell when someone walks past on the other side, and a tall person could easily look over. The apartment manager mentioned seeing me doing yardwork (clothed), which makes me careful about backyard nudity -- I want good relations with my neighbors. A nudist friend visited one time and didn't hesitate to be nude back there -- he has kind of a fuck-it attitude about that kind of thing. That's inspired me to be a little bolder back there, but I'm still thinking about possible improvements, either hanging shadecloth along my side of the fence or adding small wooden strips to close those gaps. Fortunately, the back part of my yard is completely secluded and 100% nude friendly, so maybe I'll just focus on making that area more usable.
Your solution would be the most secure. My challenge is the 18-24" space between the back of the hedge and the fence. I squeeze back there occasionally to clear out leaves, but it's really awkward and not something I'd want to try naked (even though I prefer naked yardwork). I feel like I could install shadecloth, tacked top and bottom so it doesn't blow around, pretty quickly.
