TN is undergoing major upgrades.
New laws have been passed in the last year or two making TN and other nude sites illegal because they are open to all internet users including children and people who are shocked by nudity.
The changes are being made to protect TN and keep it on-line in the future.
Some of the public see TN as a "sex site".
How the judgment by juries will play out is still uncertain. See a lawyer for current legal advice.
Over the past 6 months various attempts were made that were then changed again. TN is a large website project. It has lots of interacting functions that are easy to break. A few dedicated web developers are going to need a substantial amount of time to smooth out the problems that develop and to come up with complying procedures. Large areas of TN will still probably need major revision.
Here are my observations of the current status.
"Are you 18 years old" is now the first thing you see when you first log in as a member. It had some false starts, but now seems to be working fine.
As far as I can tell anyone can become a member. I expect that in the future you must certify to become a member. Other sites have implemented this strategy and are now closed to the both adult and underage public.
Members can see "Public" photos but cannot upload photos. For a while members could, and moderators deleted nude, underage, and sexually explicit photos posted by un-certified members. I think that was a monumental moderator task. Now, no uploads until certified.
The Certification process pages have changed several times. Sometimes steps failed and were later corrected. For now, make sure you allow each page to complete its process before moving to the next step. Sometimes delays happen. If it does not finish the cert will probably fail.
Certified Members can upload clothed or nude pictures. The upload process may not work smoothly. Use the "Browse" function to upload. The Drag and Drop function was not working this last week. I have not been able to upload videos this week. Be patient.
I recommend using a clothed picture for your User ID photo until the legal environment becomes more clear. See a lawyer for current interpretation of the laws. Protect any nude photos so only Certified Friends can see them. Change settings so uploads do not show on the Public Feed because you can't protect them until they are on your Media page.
This means under age people will have a very hard time seeing your nude pictures. Only allowing Friends lets you control viewing to people you are sure are properly practicing Nudists and Naturists. People who are "shocked" by public nudity will have a hard time being "shocked".

I have been talking for some time in my self-published blog on truenudists.com about some of the recent changes to some countries' laws in response to the United Kingdom Online Safety Act (U.K. O.S.A.) that was entered into force in 2025 in the United Kingdom forced onto all the global internet accessible from IP Addresses in the United Kingdom. The UK Online Safety Act is complete dogwater and threatens nudists all over the world, especially online.
Some youtubers are able to be located on the app Invidious if you search for them there on Invidious.

and the best youtubers found there are Techlore on Invidious and The Linux Experiment on Invidious. They go into great detail on the age verification processes, so they let everyone know what now works in linux and the internet and what does not.
This is a very fast moving situation with how the governments are changing even in some democratic places how we monitor and surveill the internet in unprecedented and more dangerous ways.
I will post my longer explanation here so some of you all might have space to comment on the forum, and I later will compile some of what I find into a blog.
