What's the worst thing that could happen if others found out that you're a nudist?
I'd love to get some answers to this question.
Why keep nudism a taboo thing from other people if it's such a lovely and wonderful lifestyle? Why not share it with others?
Remember:
Whoever loses money loses little
Whoever loses a friend loses more
Whoever loses faith in themselves loses everything
My being a nudist is not a taboo thing and it doesn't define me as a person. I don't greet (new) people with: "Hi, pleased to meet you. My name is Neville and (by the way/for your information) I'm a nudist." My being a nudist does not mean I'm an exhibitionist or that it means I have a compulsion to let everyone know. My nudism is not a fashion statement or a trend following fetish - it's my most comfortable comfort zone. I have a level of self esteem that allows me to feel good within myself even when I'm naked - there is no need to cover up or hide behind clothes or makeup for me to feel good about myself. I most certainly don't crave peer (read human) adoration to help me get out of bed in the morning. So if the topic of nudism is ever breached, I'm not ashamed to say "I'm a nudist" and I guess the "worst" response has been:"Oh yuk, how grose! I'd hate to see you naked" or words to that effect. But like I've already mentioned - I'm not an exhibitionist and I'm naked either in private or with other nudists and I/we are not nudist looking to be a centerfold in a glossy magazine. I understand, and accept, that there are nudists everywhere in society - in the supermarket, walking their dogs in thte park, on the footpath, on the bus and in trains - they're not naked amongst the general public, they don't carry signs declaring their lifestyle preferences or choices. They abide by the same social norms and rules of society like the rest of the general public. Nudists aren't "special". Mostly they're well adjusted human beings enjoying life. And by the way, I've never been introduced to someone, by a "textile" as: "I'd like you to meet Neville, he's a nudist."
