Nudist late bloomers

I have read a lot of posts about nudists who convince friends to at least try to embrace the lifestyle, and see if it is something the could also embrace in time. But I could not recall to many posts from those that were introduced to nudism at an older age, some one who might have been more modest or discreet If there is anyone on TN who was, later in life found the freedom of this lifestyle and enjoyed it so much to become a nudist them selves. Please I would love for you to share your story.

Depends on how you define late bloomer. I occasionally swam nude with other nude young men in my friend's pool starting around 17, Didn't consider it nudity because nude swimming when only men were present was common then. I would occasionally be nude at home in my 20's but more often than not as a prelude to intimate activities. Was nude less often after the first child arrived. First went to a clothing optional beach in my early 30's. At 35, we bought a house with a pool and I would swim nude after dark. A year later, I started sleeping nude on a regular basis, and going to the clothing optional beach more often. Fast forward 25 years, I retired and got a privacy fence around the pool, Swam and relaxed and worked nude around the pool unless we had company. Spent more time nude at home. 5 years later, Covid hit and I bought some gym equipment and started working out nude at home. Made a few day trips to clothing optional resorts.

Probably should add that I have not worn anything on a NJ beach since 2019 and only about 3 times since 20016.
I do wear swimsuits when we travel, usually tan through.

Thank you for sharing, always glad to hear stories of other nudists enjoying the lifestyle. It sounds like you were a selfstarter on your journey. My first official public nudity was on a nude beach I visited, I took my ex girlfriend because she didnt believe I was actually going full nude. I had told her to come with me if she didn't believe me, but she would have to be nude also. I didnt think she had it in her but once on the beach she was naked before me. I was shocked. She wasn't as shy as I had thought. Anyway glad you found your comfort in nudism and are currently still enjoying yourself. Again, thank you for sharing.

RE:Nudist late bloomers

I am definitely a "late bloomer". I am just beginning to explore nudity as a Naturist.

We are on a road trip in Texas to avoid the cold in Wisconsin. So far I have made three attempts at nudity in remote public places. The first was on a trail in Big Bend National Park. I tried hiking naked on a little used trail. It did not work out so well. It took me too long to cover up when I encountered a fast moving young couple. Sharp rocks and cactus thorns made it very difficult to remove shoes and don shorts quickly. No clothed people were harmed as far as I can tell.

The second attempt was in Davis Mountain State Park. I found a place just outside of trail view and did sun bathing. It worked much better. I repeated on a second day. 15 minutes per side to avoid sun burn.

The next possibility will be South Padre Island. There may be a clothing optional beach at the far northern end.

I have also been practicing for social nudity. My wife does not share my interest. However, she has accepted me making and serving breakfast nude in our travel trailer. She even joined me on a couple of occasions.

I did encounter one other old nudist. He would sit in the front passenger seat of his motor coach fully exposed after dark. Head lights passing revealed all, including a big grin.

Naturist Paul you definitely sound like a late bloomer, but I'm glad you are out there giving it a go. Just be careful on some of those trails. Maybe wear some baggy shirts that are slightly long incase you need to cover quickly. That's what I do. I have had to get dressed in a hurry on some trails. It didnt always work out. Luckily no one has freaked out yet. Im also glad to hear your wife is understanding. That's always good. Who knows maybe she will join you in the future. Thanks for sharing your story it's much appreciated.
