Sunset beach/Bird Island

Of you make your way ro Sunset Beach in North Carolina, turn right at the 3 way stop and follow all the waybdown to the dead end ans find a place ro park your car off the pavement. (Getting there alittle early helps).
Grab your beaxh stuff (water is highly suggested) ans take the last boardwalk out ro the beach. Once you reach the sand, you'll see a sign showing Bird island actually area is a 1/2 mile down the beach. The Kindred Spirits mailbox is about 1.5 miles away and about 100 yards paat the mailbox is the area that someone use for nude sunbathing.
Thw great thing about this beaxh is, its perfectly straight and yiu can see someone coming your way well in advance to needing to cover up. Law enforcement doesnt have jurisdiction wayndown there but on occasion they cruise by down to the jetties. You can walk it but yiu can also bike it as tje sand is like riding on pavement.(well packed).
There are hit and miss times during the day for foot traffic. I have even had a good 2 hours of no one walking by around 11am. Around lunch the foot traffic dies off. Sometimes when you have an offshore breeze, vllwing towards the ocean, you have to contend with biting flies. Nothing helps!! So.pay attention to wind during and speed before taking a long trip out there. I have seen thongs all along the way baxk to the boardwalk, so if yiu choose the wear a thong or g string, yiu are technically legally covered. Many times dur8ng my visit i was able to walk around naked ans treat is as a legit nude beach to ans from the water naked, and even walking back down to the mailbox, but I kept a thong wrapped around my wrist just incase. You might encounter other nudies out there also, or you might have tje place to yourself.
And if the mood strikes you, I have...."played" out there many times!!!
When my day is done, I will drive up and down the streets looking for an unoccupied beach house with an outdoor shower. Back my car in, get out naked and shower, usually finding soap and shampoo in there. 3 minutes later im walking naked back to.my car under the house ans driving off.
