Why does the Server disconnect?

My wife and I have. been certified members for years. Recently--within the past month--we have been unable to log on to the Chat room where we met many interesting fellow nudists. We have no problem logging on to the site, and even onto the messages or to this forum, but when we attempt to logon to "CHAT" the computer makes and attempt and then says the server has closed and invites us to refresh, and refresh, and refresh . . . and it does not good at all! What's wrong?
