Site Visit (02/07/2026)
A most excellent day at Spa World!
I arrived at opening. The crowd was small but good through much of the morning. By the time I left (around 1:30) the bade pool had 3-5 people standing in it waiting for jets, the hot tubs were full, and there were no seats left in the sauna or steam room. But up until about 12:45, there was room available in all locations.
The bade pool was just a couple degrees warmer than my last few visits. At 98 degrees, the jets seemed to be more effective in getting the back and shoulder muscles softened and de-stressed. The cold pool was only 45 degrees so I did not even go close to it. The hottest tub was only 102 as well.
As for suits, there was only one most of the morning. A second suit showed up just before I went to lunch at 11. About 30 minutes before I left, three guys in knee-length baggy shorts arrived. Otherwise, guys were sensibly (un)dressed, as they should be.
And, oh, the irony. In the men's restroom there was an "out of order" sign on the swimsuit spinner. Naked guys didn't have frozen trunks when we got home on this bitter cold day.
Score one for the skins team.
