Movie nudity question
While on my flight home last week, I watched the movie Roofman. It is a true story about a criminal played by Channing Tatum who broke into fast food places through the roof and robbed them. He ends up living undetected in a Toys R Us store. That results in a extended scene which Channing and Peter Dinklage have an encounter in the store. Channing is nude for the entire scene. I followed up by watching a couple of interviews Channing did where he relates what it was like to film the scene for several hours , him completely nude, the film crew of 100s all clothed. I very much respect an actor or actress who is willing to bare all for a role to be true to the story
What movie scene comes to your mind when you think of non-sexual nudity in a movie?
Some classic one: Vanishing Point (from 1971) with Gilda Texter as the nude motorcycle girl. The fun fact ist that Gilda usually didn't work as actress but as movie costume designer ;-)
And a brilliant European example; 372 le matin (engl. Betty Blue) from 1986. Warning: no happy ending.
Some Dutch example: Zomerhitte (engl. Summer Heat) from 2008. The story runs on the Dutch island Texel and is based on the same named novel by Jan Wolkers who lived on Texel. Actors of main protagonists, Sophie Hilbrand and Waldemar Torenstra, btw. are a couple in real life.
