men's thong in public

I came across some images of men wearing thongs in public and wanted to share!
Taua Rapa Nui is a triathalon that's part of the annual Tapati Festival on Rapa Nui (Easter Island in the South Pacific, west of Chile).
the event includes paddling, swimming and running. the male contestants wear a thong called a hami. part of the race takes place through the streets, while others wearing similar traditional clothing cheer the contestants on, so it's very public. there's a separate running event carrying banana bushels that's done outside of town. the Tapati Festival has several other events where traditional dress is worn.
