Harsh, very harsh. But I guess he should have learned by now that the law will be inforced. As was said in another thread... nude where appropriate. (Thanks NIM).

The law will be enforced: I have no argument with the law being enforced, generally speaking. However, at a time when the nation is as good as bankrupt - thanks to greedy, grubby little bankers, politicians and speculators - why are my taxes not being put to better use? Are we, the taxpayers of the UK, to continue paying the legal costs, prison accomodation costs and any other associated costs in respect of this man and, this ongoing case, until when? The day he dies? Do we really think he's going to wake up one day soon and say to himself, 'I think I'll get dressed today'. I don't think so. The whole affair is a farce, the law is an ass and, those that are enforcing it are taking scant resources away from schools, nurseries, day centres, charities, cultural events, policing (it would be funny if it wasn't so tragic), urban regeneration, etc, etc, etc
Let him go, leave him alone, if he wants to go about naked - so what? Will that cause the closure of a childrens' nursery? I doubt it.
Time for all involved to 'get real' me thinks!

Question: when is non-sexual nudity inapproptriate? Why must we always take the "appropriate" position?
i would say nonsexual nudity is inappropriate when standing in front of the magistrate.

If a law is wrong it is only right to oppose it. It is the only way incorrect laws are ever changed. Thank the goddess for those who are brave enough to go against the status quo for what they believe in. Mr. Gough is one of my heros.

But no one could possibly want or enjoy you to appear naked on even a private website. Yet you have chosen to flaunt convention and to hell what the majority may think. You are quite the rebel yourself. An "in your face" activist.
