Yeah, they want a relationship with your bank account.
Most of them are hoping that you're DESPERATE enough
to engage with them and empty your bank account.

RE:friend requestsI am confused. I am a guy in my 70's in Western Canada and yet I get friend requests from women in their 30's and 40's. Many looking for a relationship. What gives? Makes no sense, so what is this all about? Someone? Thanks
"Sweetheart scammers use fake profiles ... to engage other users,
stir up romantic feelings, and ask for money.
Scammers commonly target older adults, who often
have retirement savings and likely live alone.
And, adults 60 and older tend to be less informed about online scams in general."

RE:friend requestsSame, They often end up asking me for money.
There are a lot of real people out there, but a lot of fake profiles still also exist on here. The fake profiles always will ask for money, most of the real ones will know not to do that.

RE:friend requestsI get them too and I block them.
What interest does someone from across the world want with me?

RE:friend requestsDon't assume they are women, or even fully human. Images, text, even voices, can well be AI-modified or faked.

RE:friend requestsI like yourself am in my late 70's. I also state that I am gay and although I acknowledge that as a nudist, I don't necessarily have to have male friends I also acknowledge that as an older person I don't understand what a 20- or 30-year-old female nudist would want to be friends with me other than money.

RE:friend requestsMy rule of thumb is to ignore any mail from women who are not certified. That weeds out 95% of them.

RE:friend requestsI just got another one. She joined 16 minutes ago and sent me a friend request 14 minutes ago. Not certified. No pictures. Less than half my age.
