MAY HIKE ON VERMONT

Hey everyone, I will be posting a spring hike in early/mid-May, exact trail to be determined. Here are some dates that I was thinking about. I was considering a Cinco De Mayo hike either Saturday, Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday May 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th as I have that week off. Other dates would be Saturday 5/9 or Saturday or Sunday May 16th or 17th. Let me know what works best for everyone and I will post a hike next week.

I could try to do a Saturday if I knew the time and place and how long it would take me to get there from albany with friend going with me too

Great to hear that you are already thinking of hikes. Of those dates, I could do May 5th or 16th - or both. May 11th and 12th are also open for me.

On reddit, there are some hiking groups and I've made contacts there. When a date is set, is it ok if I share the outing with a reddit chat group I have built?

I definitely could do a weekend Sat/Sun.
A weekday would 5/4, 5/5 also work, but need to take a personal day, so need a week in advance to schedule with my job.

A couple of groups are: r/NudeHiking, r/NakedHikers/, r/NakedHiking/, r/nakedinnature. There are others but these are good for a start.

Ok, so far, we have 1 for Saturday 5/10 or Saturday 5/16, and 2 for a Saturday in general, with some available other days. As of now, I would say Saturday 5/10, or Saturday 5/16 would be the date but will wait until next week for others an opportunity to suggest a date. I was thinking the Black Mountain Trail in Dummerston particularly if the weather won't be that warm. The mountain isn't that high, so winds should be minimal and length could be a low as 3-4 miles, or we could extend the hike down the West River Trail, should be sunny and warmer if the day is cold. Another idea would be the Haystack Mountain Trail in Wilmington, also about 4 miles, but summit is open so may not be ideal if a cold day. Any other ideas, please let me know. Any yes, you may share the info on Reddit. The date I will pick next week, but the hike may remain flexible unti we get a clearer picture of the temps. Also, there are over 100 people in this group, and few participate. So, if anyone wished to remain a member of the group, pleas speak up now as I will be deleting non interested members. Thanks
