How friendly are the locals these days?

Hi all...I havent been to Downderry for 2 years now and keep wanting to go back (I live in Plimuff). I have heart, however, that there is a lot of resistance to the nudist beach these days and some locals have resorted to letting their dogs mess the beach. Can anyone comment - is that happening...are the locals getting grumpy?
