Anyone going to Sint Maarten soon?
If we return to St. Martin and Club Orient this summer ... it will be last minute planning. We usually go in June but there are lots of things on our plate that need to fall, reasonably, into place so we can go. I hate going all that way for just 1 week but maybe ... to jump start our return to "annual" visits ... we'll have to bite the bullet and go for a only a week this year. We miss the island and miss Club O ... but mostly our friends that we met there each year. The only upside ... our friends haven't been able to return to St. Martin and Club O either.
We're going to Club O in June this year to meet up with others from a local non-landed club. Just started a new job and vacation time is tight, so it will only be four nights while the rest will be there a week. We only stayed four nights last year and it still felt like we got a full vacation in. We even bumped into a couple we met at Club O last April while on the Bare Necessities cruise last month, so we told them we won't be there next month. But next year we'd like to go back to April and stay a full week.
I just got back on Sunday. I was there for the first time. I went to Orient, Cupecoy, Coconut Bay and Happy Bay beaches. Baie Rouge is NO longer a nude beach. Supposedly the new owner close to the beach went to the government and had it changed so there was a sign stating that it is no longer nude.
