Perhaps soon would be nice to try. they are open all year, correct? What do people do there in the winter - just hang out in the indoor pool area?

During the off season they have indoor pool volleyball every Sunday. Special discounted rate if you're only going for time they're playing volleyball (1230-3 PM, $20 winter rate). Of course you don't have to play volleyball, you can just hang out for the 2.5 hours.

Also, about the locals there -- some of the members are very nice. Like anything, your mileage may vary.
