Travelites' Autumn Greeting & Beyond

Members arrived from North Carolina and Georgia to the Midlands of SC to the club's official Autumn Greeting. We had a brief bout with liquid sunshine after which it was pleasant for the remainder of the day/evening. The replacement hot tub was very much enjoyed; its a great place to de-stress as was spending time with good people.

Food included grilled London broil, steamed broccoli with cheddar, small potatoes sliced with garlic and black pepper, mixed greens with a variety of dressings, Parmesan topped garlic toast, and for dessert, a huge fruit tart and black raspberry ice cream. Of course, there were more than snacks to get everyone through the day.

Travelites is waiting till the final auction bids arrive to make the clubs pledges to the organizations we support.

The next event will be our Oktoberfest on October 1st with beer and wine tasting. If no one can host this, Allen and I will be happy to. The gathering begins @ 4 with the tastings starting @ 5:30 and Bavarian potluck @ 6 or so.

The remainder of the calendar for this year will be:
10/15 - Founder's Day, Hopkins, SC (Hopkins, SC 4:30 for snacks including an Edible Arrangement, heading out at 6 to visit a Mexican Restaurant @ 7 miles away; returning for birthday cake and more hot tubbing.

10/29 - Halloween, Graniteville, SC
11/5 - Thanksgiving Feast
11/19 - Lobster Bash & Oyster Roast, Ridgeway, SC
12/3 - Winter Holiday Party
12/17 - Last Hot tub party of 2011
12/31 - ?? New Years Eve
