North Myrtle Beach area / Whispering Pines
My wife and I will be traveling to the North Myrtle Beach area mid October and we thought we would visit Whispering Pines. What can we expect?? Is it a good place to visit. We are looking for a relatively quiet place to chill and be naked. We need to get out of the rain and flooding here in upstate NY. Also in past years we have visited Bird Island. Previous years we have been able to sun/swim naked but always on the look out for non nudes walking the beach. It seems to me each time we go there is less nudity with the people from sunset beach all worried someone may be nude. Has anyone been to Bird Island lately and can you still have some nude time? Or Should we stick to Nude Resort Areas???
Whispering Pines is fantastic...I complete "NO" on Bird Island. First, you have to walk a mile and a half from Sunset Beach to get there, then you have to deal with all of the others walking and gawking at you. Bird Island about 3-4 years ago became illegal for nude sunbathing.
