Post-Irene Gunnison

Gunnison Beach is essentially the same as before Irene. There have been some exaggerations posted on this topic, especially Gunnison Bay. I believe more sand has been sent to Gunnison, because the sand bar has expanded, to the degree it is an extension of the beach. They say flooding is why they closed Gunnison for a while. The area near the dunes has a tendency to flood with any heavy rain storm.
