How far would you go to have some nude time.
It sounds like you and I are in a similar situation. I kind of smile to myself when people on here complain because they live two hours from the nearest naturist venue - that's not the moon! Now, I have places nearby that I can go be nude by myself and swim, canude, read or just sunbathe but I really enjoy more social situations so I make a point of travellinga few times each year to visit resorts and/or clubs. The closest nude beach is is about a 9 hour drive and the closest club would be about the same (both in Manitoba) but I'm more likely to go somewhere further and call it a holiday. Every year I try to make it to at least one naturist festival and so far have been to three different ones in North America (6 trips) and when I'm in southern Ontario I go out of my way to attend nude swims in Toronto even if it turns out to be a four hour drive. If I can figure out the logistics, I'm there.
I dont have to go very far at all to get to a place where I can go nude because I live in a clothing optional community where, weather permitting most of us here go around nude all the time. As I also like to take trips to places where I can be clothing free I go to a lot of the TNS Festivals/ Gatherings. I have also been on a number of nude cruises like the one to Hawaii last year. This summer I plan to take sailing a tour of around some of the islands in Italy and will be on a sailboat where we can be nude most of the time when not in port.
I try to attend whatever nudist events happen in the city. Unfortunately, some of them only allow couples (and their idea of a couple is one man & one woman). I would like to visit the clothing optional beach in Vancouver someday (it's just one province over), but I need funding for it.
For a one-day visit/event of a social nudity usual maximum 200-300 km but not on regular basis, if things can be combined it can be longer away, like 500 km. For a weekend 10 hrs maximum, if including boat trip etc. For a vacation overland 2500 km seems to be limit, though not in one haul and including longer and shorter stops on the way down and up.
Hi all you nude travellers, I normally travel 135km to get to the nearest nude beach, the Lido di Dante. Then, of course, 135km to get home. It takes a couple of hours since it means a bus, a train, and a bus each way. But, it sure is worth it!
