Torn
I respectablydisagree ! Pubs are severely limited in what they offer. I'm usually disappointed in the variety of offerings and usually have to settle for some standard brew and long to escape back to my cave where I have some uncommon choices to savor. Check out my post on the discussions list. There's alot out there to sample. I'm a sucker for Stouts. When I go to a pub or restaurant and make a request, they look at me as if I just stepped out ofa flying saucer ! Besides, I can enjoy a Stout at home and be stark naked while I drink it !
If you think pubs are severely limited you should come to the ancient city of York in the UK! We have more "real ale" pubs here than anywhere else, possibly with the exception of Norwich. We even have a small brewery (York Brewery) within the city's mediaeval walls and they have three pubs in the city.
Within my neighbourhood there are two award winning pubs which are less than a minute's walk away, and a new pub at the railway station, in what was an Edwardian tearoom, always has twenty different beers on hand pumps and ten continental beers on tap, along with bottled varieties.
The only snag is that I can't get to any of these places naked!!
Alcohol is forbidden at our local nudist beach, but so is nudism, so there you go! Discretion is always appreciated, so pour it in a cup and enjoy.
Nudism is forbidden at your local nudist beach? How doesTHAT work? A nudist beach where nudism is forbidden?
A problem with beer loving nudists is that the best pints are in the pub. So are we torn, with a difficult decision - Beer or Bare?
Too bad there are no pubs for nudists...as far as I know
There's a business opportunity there! I would be a loyal customer.
A local nudist group convinced one of the local bars to open up just for them to have a naked get-together. I doubt that it was strictly in accordance with their liquor license, and it only happened once or twice.
We had a place called The Country Club here in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. It was a bar and restaurant in the front, but the back had a pool and bar. The pool area was clothing optional.
Sadly they recently changed their policy, and it is no longer clothing optional. We have heard rumors that this is only temporary due to some flack they were receiving from the neighborhood. Hopefully it changes back before Spring. ^^
