I am glad that I had my white cane. Otherwise, I might have been frisked again.

Today, I had a bit of a flashback about how I was frisked about three years ago because of the way that I walk. Both times, sheriff officers thought that I had been drinking. Since I sway a bit when I walk I don't fault them for wondering, but it has more to do with my low level of vision, and I believe it also has to do with my low center of gravity. Years ago, I found out that I have a low center of gravity for a man (There are pics in my profile to show this). Through out my life, I walked straighter while carrying heavy stuff.
Back to the sheriffs: the one three years ago didn't believe that I had a vision problem at first. After a long discussion, he offered a ride to my destination; however, it came with a price. He frisked me. That was the only time that I felt naked in public as an adult. I wouldn't have minded it if the sheriffhad been a female sheriff/cop.... Today, this other guy saw that I had something in my hand. When I carefully showed him that it was a folded white cane, he wished me well and sent me on my way.
