Good Morning Everyone; I went to King Spa Chicago for the first time yesterday Dec-21th-2013 to scope the place out and to see what all they have to offer and so well, here's my feedback:
Compared to Spa World in Centreville, VA which is the one I've been attending for the last two years.
The Co-Ed area if far superior/elegant/appealing/facinating than Spa World. The decor, the layout, the amenities overall way better.
The restaurant was by far larger and with more product/food choices variety, clean, fast and the food was very tastefull and fresh.
They have a sleeping rooms and meditation rooms that Spa World doesn't have, in fact I took a nap in one of them and it was very quiet and peacefull.
On the down side which was my biggest disappointment, was that the wet area (pool side) was perhaps 1/3 the size of Spa World, perhaps even smaller than that.
They have 3 small hot tubs, no bubbles, jets or nothing. One of them is hot, the second one is hotter and the 3rd one is ready for onions and potatoes LoL. The 4th and the most beautifull and largest pool was the ice water pool which of course it was empty. Not sure why they decided to use the biggest pool as the ice bucket for it waan't really been used. Other than that, that's all there was to it, no stalls with jets or nothing and extremelly small.
Would I wanna go there again? Hum, not sure now, perhaps yes, but not on a monthly basis as I was going to Spa World, VA.
So witht that said, I'm gonna have to perform a little more reseach and see what else is out there in town in order for us to have our monthly TN get together as I'm planning on having still.
May all of you have a great day, Merry Christmas and a Happy Newd Year . . . xoxoxo . . . Hawk
Yes you can get a massage/scrub just as in Spa World. But during the 6 hours I was there only saw one guy getting a scrub. Not like at Spa World where we have to wait because they are busy.
The steam sauna is in there within the wet area.
If you want Dry sauna you must get dressed and go to the co-ed area . . .
