What is a Nudist to you?

Simple question, what does being a nudist mean to you? What makes or defines a nudist? This is a simple question but it seems there are many different views on it. Mine is quite simple, doing something social while nude. Being with others while nude, not being with others for another reason, and getting nude to complete that task, LOL, hope that is pc enough. To me, just me, to be a nudist you have to do something social. It can be going to a nude beach with friends, going to a nudist resort, belonging to a non landed group, or even just having friends over for swim parties, but you need to something with some kind of social aspect to it. Do you have to do that everyday, or everyweek, no. Do you have to do it forever, no. But at some point in your life you have had to do some type of social nudist deal. I'm sure there will be many who disagree, but that is how I view it. It does not mean you have to post nude pics, nude online pictures do not make you a nudist. It does not mean being nude on cam, again, that does not make you a nudist. Being in a nudist chat room does not make you a nudist as well. While not everyone is lucky enough to live close to a resort or beach, or even a non landed group, very few if any are so isolated they can not find other nudist with in a short drive. How far are people willing to drive to do textile events? People should be as willing to go that same distance, or more, to meet with other nudists. This is really not meant to cause an arguement, just a discussion, a place to voice what your thought of what defines a person as a nudist means to you.

RE: What is a Nudist to you?

You have covered this topic very well. Well, a nudist is whoever feels comfortable in his or her bare skin being at home or other places among nudists. I myself love to travel long distances away from home to explore different places nude, like bush walking , camping or nudist beaches.

Yes, Evan I think you covered it pretty good and your definition is very similar to mine. I also have some respect for those who are not so social. Sometimes I think it's sad they pull back because of their job or friends, but respect if they are only home nudists.

I don't think you have to be social to be a nudist. I have been to the nudist beach where others were and loved it but was also naked the whole day a few days ago at home and loved it. It just feels great to be without clothes. I haven't been to a nudist resort yet but hope to try one this year. Maybe I'll like it, maybe I won't but I know i'll like being nude!

A nudist to me is someone who enjoys being nude.Whether one is nude in the privacy of ones home,or nude at a nudist resort. It makes no difference in my opinion. It is really up to the individual to decide where they will enjoy the nudist lifestyle. As for myself, being nude at home is nice and relaxing. But I get more enjoyment out of being nude in the great outdoors with other people who enjoy social nudity as much as I do.

I agree with nakedoften. Some people I suspect are very rarely nude, except for the occasional visit to the nude beach or indoor organized nude swimming. Here in Norway we don't have many "clubs". It's hard to define nudism or a nudist, but I assume a proper nudist to be generally naked.

Bare bones...no pun intended by the way...
A nudist is someone who like gettin nekkid. LOL
Agree, was well said already but I will reiterate that I am nudist because I enjoy the feeling of wearing nothing. I do it for me, not for others, so people who think nudism is sexual to me are just uninformed by choice, or they just refuse to believe that people just like being nude.

Stay Naked!
