A Gay Man in Cap d'Agde
I have a 'hot topic' question. I know on the facade of it all, this question is un-based. But the stories I've heard...I am a gay man in a serious relationship. We share our home in Miami Beach and very happy. Both are naturists.I also work in Europe for a month at a time--and he remains home in the USA. This next trip in May/Jun 2012 might be my last of the long-term trips. As this will end in Barcelona, I hope to take a train to Cap d'Agde and reside in the Naturist Village and remain naked for the full duration.I've heard that the village is not discriminatory, but not 'gay-friendly'. Is this true? The Naturist/Nudist community is very open and the mostaccepting. However, the 'Lifestyle' community is not so. My personal experience has shown that it's very gay-male-paranoid. However, lesbians are beaconed and welcomed. As an openy gay man alone in the Village--willI feel comfortable? This is a 20y dream to go. I wish my partner could go with... we'd love to be naked together living naked in the streets, etc. But alone I'm worried about the naked-blacklash if i'm naked at night, etc. I've 'heard' that most dress at night. I'm going to be naked 24/7.I hope not offend anyone, but this is a real concern. The holiday is not going to be cheap--andI want to enjoy every moment of it.Thank you for your comments and time. Naked hugs -- Preston
We will be going June 21 for the fifth time. Since we have been going for the last ten years, CDA always seemed to embrace the everything goes except gay attitude you just described. There are some inroads however. There is a legitimate gay beach section and they pretty much own the dunes. There is Nat Hammam which has some gay/bi play. The best news is that you can be nude 24/7-except it would be tacky, or banned, at certain restaurants. Also I believe the Gay Tent Boys from Germany plan to have a major impact this summer!
Well -- I've booked my holiday! 27-Jun ~ 01-Jul. My next hurdle is getting TO there from Barcelona -- and then getting to an Airport that will get me back to the USA! That's harder than I thought! I'm really excited!
Oh, HotelEve is where I'm staying!
