Missed opportunites to be nude
I was wondering how many others had stories on missed opportunites to be nude. I remember it was a beautiful hot sunny day in my home town of Sydney and I thought what a better way to celebrate a beautiful day than to head to my local nude beach. So with a pair of speedos on (I did contemplate driving nude but I had to walk a little way through streets untilI got to the beach)and a towel I jumped in my car and headed down, my mind drifting off to that wonderful feeling of being nude on the beach and in the company of other fellow nudists. It was mid morning and the beach was quite busy, so I located a spot and put my towel down, I was just about to remove my speedos (thank god, couldn't wait to get out of them), when I noticed two people in the water that I knew. I hadn't come out of my nudist closet so sadly hesitated in removing my swimmers. These people saw me and came and sat with me, both were not nude. I was internally fighting with myself as I knew this would be the perfect opportunity to start telling people I was a nudist. Unfortunately I let myself down and stayed in the speedos.Thankfully these people did not stay long, less than an hour, and as soon as they were gone I released myself from my speedo shackles and spent the rest of theglorious day nude. This was several years ago and I still deepy regret not just being nude in front of my friends, after all we were on a nude beach. I am not sure why I hesitated as I certainly had/have no problem with participating in public nudity in fact I love it. Anyway just thought i would share and ask others their experinces.
The only missed opportunities we've had were while on vacation on the Hawaiian Islands. For us on the mainland, Hawaii has got to be the best opportunities and locations to be naked in paradise. It's a shame that there is such a prudish influence that hinders more nudism on the islands. We took a day trip to Hana, on the island of Maui. We were both lightly clothed and thought that there may be opportunities for some nudity and nude pictures but each time we had the opportunity ... we felt that we "might" get caught, especially on that road and we chickened out ... only to realize ... no one was coming and we had more than enough time to enjoy some nude time. We took the back road back to the hotel and had ample opportunities to be naked on the back road but it was getting late and I didn't know the road so ... we pretty much just beelined back to our lodging. I'd like to go again and take full advantage of any and all time to be naked on the islands.
