Seems strange that an owner of one nudist website would be upset and consider discussing any other nudist sites as spam. Is it a fear of losing paying members or potentially paying members to another site? Is this what this is about ... paying members? I frequent several sites, most don't require "payment, dues" to view their message boards. What sends a "red flag" up for me as a moderator of a few sites is frequent questions about "how to view the pictures." When you tell someone, "you must join, pay a monthly or annual fee", to view pictures, they are gone. So ... it's not about the content of discussion, for many, it's all about the pictures and video available for free. I joined several sites for specific information, because it was recommended by a nudist internet friend or I stumbled upon it while searching. I've left many sites, due to difference ofopinion between me and the ownersandI've continued to remain a member of some even though I don't agree completely with the owners philosophy. What I look for in a nudist site is consistancy with regards to the rules and philosophy of the site, established by it's owners. I think some nudist sites got too caught up in the whole FaceBook model and are trying to copy that same format with all the "friend" collecting going on. I'd rather have fewer "friends" that I communicate with, have a chance to meet and have things in common with then to to show how many times a day I hit the "Request Friendship" button. With that, I tend to frequent more sites that do not have that option. ; )
I am checking out 2 other similar sites (I won't mention them here lest I be accused of spamming) for comparison on a TRIAL basis. I have yet to make a friend on either site so it is hard to say too much about interaction. At least one of the sites suffers a bit from the same problems of BLANK and PRIVATE (can't see anything about the person) profiles, but other than that, it is too soon to tell.I'm sure you are looking at the sites that belong to Bryan Spencer and let me tell you that I started with them up untill I discovered this one the best of them all. You'll get tired of dealing with those two other sites due to lack of customer service. Save your money and join this one, that's what I did. Have a good day and stay nude. Hawk
No other general nudist sites these days. There is a group of sites including nudistfriends that invite "affiliates" which, at least a while
back, used to pay people for referrals. That led to serious spamming - faux females joining sites like truenudists, telling you how cute you were, babe, and inviting you to join them at whatever.com. This site's policy against promoting other sites is not, I'm sure, anticompetitive, but meant to head off nonsense like that. I did try joining one of those sites, and immediately discovered that my e-mail address and site password had been "shared" with a mail-forwarding service; I unhooked from it as completely and quickly as I could.
