North Padre island
Hey folks,
We're heading down to Corpus in a couple of weeks. I'm just checking in here to see if anyone has any recent experience on North Padre island? Particularly in the national park?
We've skinny dipped down there before, but always like to check in to see if there is any recent news.
Just let us know!
Padre national Seashore is a great place to enjoy the feeling of being on a desert island.Head out toMolokai Beach and keep going south.Even when the sand gets deep you can still drive right on the waters edge and its nice and firm. While thebeachthere is never VERY crowded, the further you go, the less people you will encounter. If you want the above mentioned Desert Islandfeeling, just keep gong for 30 or so miles .Get a map from the guard at the entrance and you will see 1st little shell beach, then Big shell beach....by the time youreachbig shell, you will probably be the only ones there. We just set up a naked camp, parking the truck parallel to the road and various wind breaks etc to give the desired amount of shade or privacy if you wish. The rangers are tolerant of nudity and we wave at them as they go by.Once one came up to our camp to check for fishing licenses because we had an array of surf rods deployed. We had the required permits so he bid us good day and we could tell we would be the highlight of his story that night at home. But that only happened once in years and years.Wind-breaks are essential if you want to DO anything besides sun bathing or fishing, it blows constantly. My hubby and I met on Port Aransas, on the far north end of the Island. (actually its on "Mustang Island" but the 2 are connected)We have spent many naked days and nights all over the area... don't let folks scare you about rangers, police etc....they love to see nudes.
The wife and I have enjoyed the nude opportunities at PINS several times. We park at the sticks on the north end of Malaquite and walk south a ways and enjoy nude days there enjoying the beach. We haven't driven south from the toll booth yet but might this summer to see what it's about. Hard to beat where we go though, we actually enjoy the walk in and out anyway. No vehicles allowed on the beach either except the patrol that comes through once a day. You can see him easily and we just cover up for him.
Howdy.
I'm planning on going to Pins...just south of Corpus...south of the "closed Beach"...in June.
I want to fish and read and just hang out. I'm calling it a Sabbatical, lol.
I would like recent info on this beach...re: park rangers, but also about the possibility of getting stuck, lol.
My truck is 2wd, but in my experience with beaches, from Matagorda to Florida, there's always some dude with a 4x4 pulling fools like me out, for a fee(much less than the $thousand that the Park website indicates)
I'm Cripple, so i must contemplate these things.
Also, given my 2wd-hood,lol...what's the closest I can go, down the beach, and still get Nekkid?
Any info is appreciated.
