Before you paste something onto the forum.
I have said this before, when the problem cropped up on another thread, but it's not easy to find so I'll post it again here.
If you just paste something straight onto the forum, It will show up all the HTML code as well, and look a right mess.
This is how you can get around that.
If you copy anything from the net, or write a piece on Outlook Express, (same probably goes for Word and other programmes) Spellcheck it, but BEFORE you post it on the forum, paste it onto NOTEPAD, copy it AGAIN from there, BEFORE you paste it in the forum, this will LOOSE all the HTML code, and it will come out all right :)
and to make a paragraph in the forum, you need to hit enter TWICE.

hehe...yup, that's the only reason my jokes are even there. There's no way on God's green earth I would type all that crap out. lol

You mean like your signature?
Well, YES and NO.
The signature is a completely different ball game entirely. As I'm sure you know, that is what the HTML code looks like, but that is (as I'm sure you also know) known as a "short cut." I have spent a considerable time trying to get it right, and have eventually been successful with previous combinations. The last time I tried, I got so exasperated I just had to give up. I can see no rhyme nor reason with it. What works on one, does not work on another, then what did work, doesn't now, It defies any kind of logic. As it is still doing the job I left it. The same thing happened to some of the links I put in my blog. Now it will have to wait for me to summon the enthusiasm, to have another go at fixing it.

Ah thanks Phil for this post! Jen referred me to this post because I was having horrible HTML issues. I misunderstood what she told me and tried typing my posts directly into Note Pad but they still weren't coming out right. Now I see I must type in Word and then cut and paste to Note Pad before cutting and pasting from there to here to the forums. Just tried it and it worked beautifully! When all else fails...read the directions. LOL

Now I find this!!! After I did some pasting and discovered the HTML stuff. LOL
At least I have learned it is not just me.

I have a question. Is there a universal picture that a person uses if they don't have one of there own. I have notice there is one picture that is on about 30 different onces. The age and where they are from is different. They are from all over the world.
No, we think it's a glitch, if you don't select a profile pic, it shows that stock pic.
That's why there's lots of them.

Thanks Art, for the tip about Quark, that you are about to post below this one.

Using the Macintosh with Quark, you can copy and paste directly into forum without HTML issues.
