Our Mae West impersonator show was a huge success. To all our lovely(each in their own way) participants and of course our wonderful master of ceremonies Carl, a great big thank you for all your effort. We had 7 contestants. Some were scary enough to sour milk while others were quiet breathtaking. Our 1st place winner was Pat, 2nd went to Jody, and 3rd went to Dwight. The crowd turnout was above and beyond. "To much of a good thing....is wonderful." span id="lw_1251299921_1" class="yshortcuts" style="background: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; cursor: hand; border-bottom: #0066cc 1px dashed;"Mae West/span.

The gong show
Somewhat live from span id="lw_1251299921_2" class="yshortcuts" style="cursor: hand; border-bottom: #0066cc 1px dashed;"whispering pines/span was the 1st annual "gong show"
What a fabulous time....fun was had by all. Our host span id="lw_1251299921_3" class="yshortcuts"Mr. Chuck Barris aka Jody/span kicked things off with major gong. He had more costume changes then backstage at the span id="lw_1251299921_4" class="yshortcuts"miss America beauty/span pageant. We had a variety of acts. 1st place winner was CJ, the magnificent, 2nd place was sprain your gizzard laughing so hard Barry and Stacey,3rd place was Roger the jokster. Our 1st winner of the rubber chicken award was Lana Mae and her flute. Gonged acts...so sorry fellas, were long winded Larry and the mayor of shenanigans Dick. A surprise visit from the unknown comic and Dave, Dave the span id="lw_1251299921_5" class="yshortcuts"dance machine/span got the place jumping. "Gonged or not to be gonged" that was the question asked by our span id="lw_1251299921_6" class="yshortcuts"panel of judges/span, mayor Dick, cookie#1, and tater tot. They did a gong up job. To everyone who participated, organized, and helped out with this success, a huge whispering pines thank you. We are looking forward to the next one.
