nude and the law

on a recent trip to a friends farm (who are also naturists) that had a bbq in the bit of hot weather we got, we was all in the nude and a passing vehicle phoned the police (north yorkshire), the police arrived and stated that we was all breaking the law as we cound be seen in the DISTANCE by passing motorists who was offended by us all been nude, therfore because of this my friend as said now that no more gatherings are to be held at his farm.

Are the police right or wrong we was on private land and not hurting anyone (maybe the cows lol) but i think its discusting that the police can upset someone that much my friend as now decided that naturism is going to make him lose his lively hood and home from what the police said,

Can anyone help?

You're welcome, don't mention it.

Thanks for that Freedom, I'm sure a lot of us, here in the uk, will be very glad to know that.

Here is a link to your post for all those that come after us, after it has got buried in the forum.

RE: nude and the law

Unfortunately, if you can be seen from the public highway, this may deemed an offence by causing a distraction to the driver of a motor vehicle, as in the case of the Wonderbra ads, featuring Eva Herzigova.

it is the same in The Netherlands. You can be naked in your own garden as long as it is no visible from the public roads.
