Apr. 20 - AANR-NW Earth Day Tree Planting at Rooster Rock
The text below was copied and pasted from The Wellspring, which i sthe hidden Springs Nudist Club newsletter.
On the April 20 (the Saturday of the week containing
Earth Day), there will be again be a sapling tree
planting at Rooster Rock state park sponsored by
AANR-NW. The details are not finalized as of yet,
but last year, volunteers planted 400 saplings of
different species, donated by the Lava Nursery in
Parkdale, Oregon. This year, only 300 plants will be
planted. Volunteers also pulled invasive garlic
mustard and conducted a clean-up. We hope to do the
same this year with additional volunteers. Free
parking passes are provided to those that volunteer. A
website link will soon be initiated and a regional Enews
posting will also be done. Further beach cleanup
days will be scheduled later,
depending on anticipated water
levels.. AANR-NW has been the
official adopter of both the Rooster
Rock and Sauvie Island nude
beaches for some years now and
Hidden Springs is proud to have
been a major component of those
clean-ups.
