Independent Scotland
My Grandparents came from Ireland, so I would lean to the side for independence. But I do not know all the ins and outs of the interdependence between Scotland and England. Does Scotland have products or services to bring money into Scotland? If Scotland does become independent will they have to change the name of Scotland Yard?

Iain Duncan Smith: Independent Scotland could not afford welfare bill.
Iain Duncan Smith has warned Scotland's benefits bill is more than twice the revenue from North Sea.
The Work and Pensions Secretary will say that the annual benefit and pensions bill in Scotland is almost twice as much as the revenues raised each year from North Sea oil and gas.
He will add that welfare spending in Scotland is currently about six per cent higher than the average elsewhere in the United Kingdom. Scots also stand to become the biggest winners from the Coalitions forthcoming welfare reforms.
Mr Duncan Smith will deny that he is scaremongering and will insist that he does not believe the picture of Scottish towns dependent on welfare, with people unwilling to work.
Due to the reliance on the old heavy industries in many parts of the country, it makes perfect sense that we need to spend more money per head of population on welfare support in Scotland, the Work and Pensions Secretary said. I have no problem with that.
In fact, I am glad that we are in a position to do it. Thankfully, due to the United Kingdom and the commitment of the Westminster government we are able to ensure that money brought in, whether it be from the City of London or from North Sea oil, can be pooled and directed to wherever it is needed most. That is what being in the United Kingdom is all about.
England, Scotland and Wales should all have their own independence. Furthermore, I believe we would be far better off if we were NOT ruled by Europe. You cannot even wipe your ass without Brussels bureaucrats telling you what type of paper to use.
