Running around naked

I have one question for everyone. Why is it that people always seem to say that someone is running around naked? I've seen nudist running in a race and they always seem to be running in a straight line. I've seen people walking around and here in the South West I've seen people moseying along. People always say it, but I have never seen any nudist running around. Have you?And another question; running around what? LOL.I've wondered about the phrase, too. I can think of three uses. Children are said to be running around - and they really do, so I'd guess this is the original meaning. One can run around behind a partner's back. And one can run around naked. I suspect both the latter uses refer somehow to childishness.
I note that "running around naked" is a phrase used almost exclusively by non-nudists; it's always a tip to me that the speaker is not fully comfortable with the nudity referred to. There's a judgement in it.

there are also the people on drugs or with mental problems ,because in the eyes of law enforcement you have to be eithe ron drugs or mentally unfit if you are running around naked.
