Speaking out

I was at a local place last night to get some hot wings. At the bar, the waitresses all wear bikini tops and bottoms. This one waitress obviously had no tan lines which lead me to one conclusion...she is a nudist or at least tans sans suits. I wanted to bring my observation to her attention and let her know of my lifestyle choice but didn't want to offend her or make her think I was trying a pick-up line. So, I did not approach the topic with her.
Later I was thinking about this and started to wonder, if you think someone may be into the naturist lifestyle then how would be the best way to open up the conversation without offending anyone and without exposing yourself if they turn out not into it? Any thoughts???

RE: Speaking out

This happened to me at my favorite watering hole. Luckily, I didn't pose the question, some drunk idiot sitting next to me asked. The place has their bartenders, all female, wear lingerie and some of it leaves little to the imagination. The owner, female half, works the bar and tables and is really a nice and friendly woman. We've become "buds" since I've been visiting for the last 5 years. As I sat there on day, next to these drunk idiots, she came over to ask if we wanted another. When she took our mugs and put them in the sink, her slip strap fell off and exposed most of her breast but no nipple. The drunk idiot said ... "wow, no tanlines!" She said ... "nope, hate them." They began to ask dumb questions and she just ignored them. A couple days later, I was in there and sitting alone. She came over to give me my "usual" and sat and talked with me since it was slow. I started by apologizing for the idiots the previous day. She appreciated that and it opened the door to our conversation. I started out by saying ... " I don't like tanlines either and neither me or my wife have any." She said ... "what are you guys ... nudists?" I said, "yes." And the conversation just took off with her asking lots of questions about a local club. She said she wants to go but not sure how her husband will take it. Strange ... he's okay with her walking around a bar in almost nothing and might get upset cuz she visits a nude club and does what she does at home. I've usually worn nudist logo, saying, type t shirts to start a conversation. In the OP's case ... I think I'd just compliment the young lady on her tan and see if it generates a response. If not ... odds are she doesn't want to discuss her lack of tanlines with anyone. :D

RE: Speaking out

I would expect the tans nude in a tanning bed and not a nudist.

I too am a regular at a themed restaurant like the OP speaks of. I have become friends with most of the servers there and I have discussed nudism with almost all of them. I haven't had one yet feel like I was a creeper or perv by mentioning it, in fact, many of them want to try it someday. It's not what is said, it's who is saying it. So many annoying fools go in, get drunk treat the servers like crap, and then they expect the girls to just open up to them and answer any question they ask. Treating others with respect garners respect back at ya! Simple as that! Most people their ages, don't even know there are places to go nude, and many of them would love to go.

I would never think to bring it up or discuss it with anyone at a non-nudist event. It's none of my business. If someone asks me a question about it, I have no problems discussing it.

Ya know ... when you think about it, I don't know that just broaching the subject to someone in a bar where the girls are wearing skimpy bikinis to work in, is all that bad. Think about it ... if some young woman is willing to work in that type of "uniform" and environment, they aren't shy. It's like the story I told. Here are woman, young and older, working in a bar, wearing lingerie and very skimpy lingerie, around a bunch of guys drinking beer. Do they expect to have intellegent conversation? hahaha Especially the place I go to. It caters to construction trade workers, cops, firemen ... there's much more ass crack showing on the bar stools as there is from the girls serving up the beer. It's probably a bit different than the OP's place he's discussing but if those girls are willing to work in a bikini ... wouldn't it seem logical that they've been asked if their awesome tan included tanlines? I still think you can be a gentleman when asking but I also think that you need to take the environment into consideration. "I was admiring your tan. Do you tanning booth or get it naturally? I like to get mine naturally at a beach or one of the clubs or resorts I visit regularly." "What beach and clubsdo you go to? Then you seque into a known nude beach, club or resort. If the conversation continues ... so can the information shared about nudism. :D

RE: Speaking out

I have left my cards at restaurants that read "You have just done business with a nudist going to/from a clothing-optional....
Nudism is good for your business" and on the other side is "What is a Nudist".
