SCNA's Bates Beach Party - 7/6/13
All naturists in the Southern California area (especially those in Ventura and
Santa Barbara) are invited to join us for a Beach Party on Bates Beach
(also known as Rincon Beach Park) on the Ventura/Santa Barbara county
line this Saturday, July 6 at noon!
For more than 5 years the SCNA has been working to re-establish the
clothing-optional status of Bates Beach. In January, one of the local
county supervisors pledged his support for our efforts to change the
present anti-nudity ordinance if we could demonstrate local support.
This Beach Party is part of that demonstration, so we welcome any of you
who want to join us on the beach Saturday and show that nudists will support it!
Please note that the ordinance is still in effect at this time,
SO WEARING LESS THAN A BATHING SUIT IS DONE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Go as bare as you dare! Bring your own picnic supplies, chairs, umbrellas, sunscreen,
and skimpiest bathing suits!
We will be about 500 yards north of the parking lot. Look for the signs and flags!
Join us for great afternoon on the beach, and help us to get one of
SoCal's hidden treasures back to clothing-optional status!

Good luck on your efforts. We won't be able to attend but we're all pulling for you. This is the first step in getting some of CA beaches being rated as nudist friendly.
We know it's an uphill battle because the pinheads who are now running that state don't realize that government is the servant of the people and not the other way around. All they know how to do is to raise taxes, not to make things better, but to pay their inflated salaries.
Show them that nudism has an economic benefit too. We'd better keep quiet on that one or else they'll impose a special tax on nudists.

Thanks, DR, wish you could join us. That's also been one of our more effective strategies in getting the beach back. We've been members of the Chamber of Commerce in the local community of Carpinteria for years. Many of the merchants in town also support our efforts, especially when we "cash mob" them using $2 bills for our purchases, which they now recognize as coming from nudists. Last weekend was also the second year that our "Friends of Bates Beach" division was part of their local Independence Day Parade!
Once again, those of you who can join us on the beach tomorrow are welcome!
