Rooster Rock Conditions as of July 6

Last Saturday, I made it out to Rooster Rock and the water levels were still pretty high.
If you hike the main trail to the end and then you can cut over to the river without traipsing through mud or water. If you double back on teh rail along the river heading West, you will eventually reach3a sandy beach area.
All other trails seemed to have water and mud.
The grass and brush is extremely high and lush this year with tyhe grass towering above head height in some places. You may want to consider this if you prefer to get nude right away at the bench near the trail head where the clothing optional are begins. There is the occasional thorny berry vine that extends into the trail. Later in the season the brush and grass will have been beaten back so it will not be an issue.

Thanks for the update. I'm hoping Sand Island will be accessible earlier this year than it was last.
