Backpacking Europe 2014

Hi all my fellow nudists.I am planning to go on a backpacking trip through Europe after I graduate from college this fall. I'll be buying a 1 way ticket to London ( I have a friend that lives there). After spending some time with my friend I will be venturing across and around Europe. I hope to meet many great people and see amazing places. I hope to travel through many different countries and have no agenda yet. If you would like to meet together for some nude adventures and maybe offer me a couch to crash on it would be amazing. I really want to visit all of the places that everyone recommends going to, whether nude or not. I have never been to Europe so i do want to do some sightseeing also. Lets hear your thoughts on places that I need to go and maybe some people that I can stay with or at least spend the day with at a beach or something.Hope to hear from you allAndrew

I would seriously countenance not getting a single ticket, far better to get a convertible (as opposed to non-endorsable) dated return ticket. The date can always be changed should you alter your plans. This is for 2 reasons:- (1) Immigration may want it as proof that you will return, and (2) if something befalls you, such as being robbed, you will at least have the means to return (keep details of the ticket and other documents such as your passport somewhere accessible such as on an internet site). Also, get some travel insurance and take sufficient funds for the same reason as (1) above - it's easy to underestimate the cost of travelling. Talking about Immigration - I was one of them (!) - or Border Force as they are now called, resist the temptation of being too vague about your plans and don't mention anything about working. That also goes to not carrying any documents relating to work, such as work references. Remember they have the power of search.
Unfortunately, due to my present circumstances, I cannot offer you anywhere to rest your weary head. Having a local friend, hopefully a nudist, to stay with is not only an economical way to travel, but also helps in getting to know a country better and, as someone else has said, don't restrict your exploration to capital cities which are usually much more expensive anyway. If there is one country I would recommend it would be Italy ... the food, the women, the historical sites, the beaches, the wine.
As the French say ... Bon Chance et Bon Voyage!

I heartily endorse what Mikey 1947 says. I found it essential that I had a return ticket to my homeland, South Africa, back in 1976 when
I backpacked around the world. I subsequently settled here in the UK, but that is another story. Have a wonderful time.

Thanks for the offer! i do plan on traveling to more of the remote areas and not focusing so much on the major cities. I'm not really fond of large cities anyways. I will let you know if I end up in your area and when I do if Ineed a naked couch!
I will take the advice and think about the ticket for coming home. Thanks for the comments alL!

RE: Backpacking Europe 2014

I just got back from a 2 month trip to Europe. I thought I would see lots of countries and sights and ran out of time so quickly. Coming from a big country with lots of empty space, I didn't expect there to be SO MUCH to see.
We had a car and used a GPS to guide us from place to place but programmed the GPS to take us off main roads. The towns and villages etc that we saw were incredible. Something I wouldn't have seen if we'd gone to the cities.
I'm going back again in 2014 myself. This time I'm taking the other half (he had to work though this year). Going to go for at least 6 months this time too.
There are some great sites in Europe for travelling from place to place with locals who are offering a seat in their car for free or fuel share. The only thing I would say about those is that mostly, these trips are point to point and you don't get to see anything along the way. Also, travel from village to village (in Holland and Germany at least) is sporadic, so hitchhiking can be a slow task unless going to major cities. My experience was that each method of travel has both its upsides and downsides.
Cheers
Stephen

Hi Andrew,
If you need any information on Germany, please feel free to contact me. I live near Frankfurt am Main and there are some lovely spots to go nude here (beautiful spas, sections of the city parks, lakes, etc.). There is also an official nude hiking trail in another part of the country - haven't managed to go on that yet.
Naked greetings,
John
