Should we as nudist hikers wear shoes or shouldn't we and go barefoot all the time?

It is very rare that you can find somewhere where the surface is even or soft enough to hike barefoot. So put on a good pair of hiking boots, shoes or sandals and enjoy your hike. That way I've hiked naked for hours.

Should we as nudist hikers wear shoes or shouldn't we and go barefoot all the time?Personally, I go barefoot all the time. Not just on hikes, but in general. I don't truly feel naked unless it's head to toe! And the forest floor feels wonderful underfoot.

Should we as nudist hikers wear shoes or shouldn't we and go barefoot all the time?the sad part about hiking barefoot here in california is the amount of broken glass I see in the hills up here, so for that part I will hike with hiking shoes.

Barefoot, bare-all is best but I do wear shoes if the ground isn't suitable, but when you are naked, it's nice to feel the earth under your bare feet!

I always wear good hiking shoes when I go bushwalking. My feet are too delicate. :-)

Barefoot if you can, but it is not really necessary to go that far. If you're nude, you're nude. Sure, it feels "more" nude when it is everything, but you're hiking. Walking on the beach....barefoot. Walking on a dirt trail that does not get rocky or have sharps/glass, barefoot. Hiking...meaning distance, trails that get rocky...wear hiking shoes/boots, take a backpack, water...everything you would if you were hiking with clothes...you're just not wearing them. One consideration though...if you are wearing shoes, try out the shorts you're taking with you and make sure you can put them on over the shoes as quickly as you are going to want to do so if needed. Before all the "you should be proud" arguments come my way, let's just say that 3 sheriffs are out for a hike and come by with their wives, children, nieces and nephews. In that case, you might want to cover up and tight shorts with clunky hiking boots might not be ideal.
Bug spray too, if there might be bugs. You don't have to use it, but you should have it in case you need it..

I wear shoes when appropriate. If I am in an area I know I am barefoot, if in a new area, I will wear shoes. On a beach, I am barefoot and clothes free.
LondoSun, you have several excellent points in your post. I am like you, especially when I am far from home. I hike nude in Palm Springs often and do exactly what you have written.

It all depends on the terrain, some places are just not made to go barefoot and be safe to walk about with no footwear. but as long as nude who looks at the feet

My goal in hiking naked is to be comfortable. I find rocks uncomfortable on my feet, so I feel no shame in wearing sturdy footwear. On the beach, depending on the quality of the ground, I may be barefoot or in sandals.
