RE: shoes or...

Did a nice stroll around my neighborhood a few days ago and again this AM at 5 AM fully naked and barefoot. Felt really great to be so naked and natural. :-)

I think that it depends on the individual. I prefer to walk barefoot, however if the trail is rough then I wear barefoot running shoes.

I use to go barefoot until I trod on a 2" thorn and it blew my foot up to the size of a football. Always have sandals on now

Barefoot.

Barefoot normally for me. But we have to be real. I was doing a 5K at Wildwoods down in Texas and the sand burrs on the last K really slowed me down for a bit. Picking those out of your toes will drive ya to thinking shoes are ok. And then last week I was on a naked hike from MO down into AR and just bushwacking a trail down the creek and into the lake. Shoes help you make better time and see more scenery in cases like that.

Just feel better barefooted. So it is simply shod when necessary

Should we as nudist hikers wear shoes or shouldn't we and go barefoot all the time?As much as I walk about without shoes, in our mountains, I prefer to wear them! First and foremost, I need the sturdy support for my ankles as the Angeles National forest is very rocky! Secondly they need to be high top boots, as there are Rattler snakes, Third reason, here there are a lot of idiots who think they can just toss their trash out onto the ground, where the glass breaks! For me it is all about the protection!

I go barefoot where I can but some of the desert hikes require some kind of shoe.

I find it safer to wear shoes if the trail has a lot of rocks
and roots. I'm less likely to stub my toe and won't cut myself on
anything sharp. I'll go barefoot if the surface is smoother and I'm
not going far.
