Rooster Rock Conditions as of Aug. 27th

Once again i decided to ride my bike out to Rooster Rock. Bike directions were posted separately.
As in the last update, the Dragonfly Trail (the first trail to get out to the river proper) is completely dry.
The water level has dropped another foot since the last update.
If you meander about you can walk all the way out to Sand island without getting your feet wet, but the water you encounter will be about ankle deep, so it woudl save you time to just cut straight across in a more direct route.
If you prefer the other side of the lagoon across from Sand Island, the trails between the Dragonfly trail and that side of the shore are also completely dry, and it is shorter walk than hiking allthe way around as you have to do to get to the rive proper without wading through muddy and brackish water, early in the season.
