Towel necessary at home?

I'm planning on getting my own place in the future, and I have always enjoyed staying in my birthday suit, however in my experiences I have always hated having to put a towel down. In one's own home, is it really necessary to put a towel down to sit? And also, what are yall's opinions on having pets (like a dog)?

Bodies leak. No mater who you are you've had skid-marks in your clothes. Do you want them on tour furniture? A towel is an easy solution.

We have towels on our chairs and sheets on our bed. When they get soiled we take them off and wash them.

It's just a good habit to get into. We have several places in the house that we sit all the time, the couch, office chairs, kitchen nook table, island stools and a bench in our bedroom. There are towels on those seats most all the time or towels nearby to place on whatever we sit on. As I said ... just a good habit to get into ... but it is your home and your furniture ... do what you want. ;-)I second that Motion :)

There was a posting here somewhere by a man that claimed he had towels on all of his furniture so his nude friends could sit with him.
He said he laundered them every three days.
By the third day isn't that the same as letting your friends wear your used underwear?

Don't you people bathe or wipe?Evidently washing towels "every couple of days" is all that is necessary.

If you don't have marks on your clothes, then you won't have marks on your furniture, and you don't need towels at home. Our nudist group requests towels at events. But the friends I tend to visit with do as I do, and put out a basket of washcloths in the bathroom, not a pile of towels in the living room. I have a couple of favorite cushions I use when I sit on the floor or where I like the feel better than the upholstery on a piece, and - since they're launderable, I might offer them to a guest. The chair I'm on now has a semi-permanent towel for the same reason - the upholstery is scratchy. Maybe two or three times in the ten years I've been in this house I've had to get a spot off the furniture; the worst was from a clothed guest who sat on an antique couch with wet hair.

I don't have marks on my underwear, so I don'thave to wear fresh underwear every day?

I don't carry towel's around at home , but I do keep towels handy for when I need to sit inside, but outside I have towel's on my poolside loungers. So since I have towels where i NEED them we are frequently caught without any cover up, and actually that is the way a prefer to be caught, since we are doing nothing wrong in the privacy of our own home.
