RE: Hate

One doesn't "achieve" a high profile, one is given it by the media.
No Muslim leader has been given such a national platform to speak against violence. Such gestures aren't even welcome. Twice, when former Iranian president Ahmadinejad was in New York visiting the United Nations, he asked to go the few blocks to the World Trade center to lay a wreath in memory of the 9/11 victims, and was refused. No, he's not a nice guy and I'm not defending his policies or the bizarre-ness of some of his attitudes, but why would we not let a powerful Muslim leader make a gesture in rejection of terrorist violence?

RE: Hate

There have been as many christian radicals as muslims, and they have committed as many crimes. They misread and misinterpret the message. Criticizing muslims is not a "christian" philosophy. It's just bigotry.
