Camp Grounds With Lots of Hiking Trails in the U.S.?
I'm dying to get some good naked hiking done sometime this summer. I found one camp ground somewhat near by where I can get that done but I like the idea of finding some new places. I'm a bit of a PITA about this, but it needs to be completely legal (not technically legal) so I'd be looking for a clothing optional camp ground. I'm also not big on camping so I'm thinking some place where I can rent a cabin for the weekend and hike around the grounds. Perhaps they would also have some pools or something like that, but the big thing I'm looking for is hiking around, so a place with just a mile or two of trails. Any ideas?
Valley View Hot SpringsColorado(Orient Land Trust at https://olt.org). Completely legal, miles and miles of back country hiking. It is high altitude and rough terrain for the most part. Onerelatively easy hike to get you started would be to the bat cave (with or without the daily tour group). Take clothing with you on any hike in this area, as the weather can change dramatically in short time.

Completely legal trails are non-existant in the mid-west so we just use trails at county parks. I always make sure I'm alone. If it is both of us I think it would be less likely to get arrested. One guy told me that if a officer ever walked up on him while hiking naked he would start swatting like he just got stung...and then explain to the officer that a bee flew up his shorts and he had to take them off.
Valley View is a great place to hike. You can hike up the mountain to the various hot springs. Great place. (In the summer time) You might see us there as it's not too far away. Let us know if you plan on going, we my be able to meet you there.
Thanks! How is the sun exposure at that level? Do you have to apply even more sunblock?
